Can someone PLEASE censure Bill Clinton??

He's a disgrace to American politics. His lies about and manipulation of Barack Obama's record is UNBELIEVABLE.

Enough already, Bill. You lied to us 10 years ago, and, guess what, we didn't forget. Now please, go away and let the candidates debate the ISSUES.

Thank you. I feel better now.

Chris, the honeymoon is over. I lulled you into thinking that this was just a mindless blog with never an opinion to be shared, but it's time to start shaking things up. Plus, I have to overcompensate for Amy's blogging deficiencies.

Censured!

Seriously, he is such a goof. I'd rather listed to W try to get through a speech than Bill Clinton lie through his goofy expression. He thinks he's charming and he's not.

i think we can safely say that Dad's prediction that W would go down as the greatest president in history is, umm, ludicrous.

I'm not even comparing the lies of Bill to W...I'm just saying that the Clinton machine is not afraid of lying and manipulating to win an election. And if Hillary choses to do that, OK, that's her choice; however, Bill is becoming a nuisance to this entire process. I think he secretly has a write-in campaign of his own going on.

The big problem I have with Obama at this point is all of this talk of bipartisan cooperation and unity. To me, that means that nobody will be held accountable for the crimes that have been commmitted in the last 8 years. Bipartisanship always seems to involve the Dems playing nice and moving towards the Repug intractable position. It is kind of like my neice's definition of sharing: She doesn't like to share her toys, but she will be glad to share yours.I want a fighter in the white house, not someone who wants to play nice and capitulate over and over again. Not sure who that is at this point, but I do know I will vote for the Dem nominee no matter who it is in this election. (I am not a registered Dem).

I think Hillary Clinton displays your niece's virtues: essentially, it's her way or the highway. The Republicans HATE her and are not going to work with her. It will be the worst gridlock in history, unless the Dems can really win back a solid majority in the House and Senate, which is unlikely.

I think Obama is our best bet for overcoming the partisan divide because he appeals to a moderate electorate, he is smart, articulate and inspiring, and if the American people are behind him (which I think they will be), Congress and the Senate will have no choice but to follow suit, generally speaking.

Just to stir the pot:

It's interesting to hear Barak Obama whine about his election battle with the Clintons who are being gentle with him because they are all Democrats. If he can't handle election battles now how is going to hold up when he's running against Republicans who are not going to be nearly as nice?
If you are going to win against Republicans you more than just hope. You need to have a lot of fight in you.Politics is not a game for the weak and timid.

i stole that quote from somewhere, but it is what worries me about Obama. since i can't vote in the primary in MD (independents can't vote in primaries here) it doesn't really matter who i like now, and i haven't made up my mind which Dem i would prefer. i do know that no matter which one wins the nomination, they will get my vote.
