Ikea kitchen cabinets: Yea or Nay?

All the reviews I'm reading have been good, and Ikea offers a 25-year limited warranty. Best of all, the price is great. Negatives: we'd have to put them together ourselves and there's only about two door styles/finishes I like. Here's a real-life Ikea kitchen I found on a certified Ikea installer's website: www.traemand.com

(That was an enthusiastic "Yea" by the way.)

Budget is seriously lacking, but our kitchen is in seriously bad shape! When Damon first sprang this idea on me, I said "no way." But, now that I have a giant roll of Reynolds wrap strategically placed in one of my bottom cabinets so that it can hold up the drawer above it.....well, I'm open to anything now.

What happens if you need the Reynold's Wrap?

Are you going to do the same small tiles as in the picture? That would look great.

It's a serious balancing act...

I like the look of the little tiles, but I'm not crazy about the washed out colors with the white cabinets. I think it looks a little sterile. I'd like to go with a warmer colored countertop.

I say go for it! My husband and I just bought IKEA cabinets. It took me two long days to put all of them together by myself, but they look great so far! We're installing them in April.
